1:1 Therapy

Motherhood can be a wonderful experience. It can also be a challenging transition filled with lots of stress and overwhelming & confusing emotions.

Approximately 1 in 6 women experience a perinatal mood or anxiety disorder (PMAD) during pregnancy or following childbirth.

Whether you are facing a PMAD or just need a little extra support in navigating this chapter of your life (be it pregnancy, a recent birth, or mothering with a few years of experience under your belt) I’d love to help you out!

Therapy Services

You're overwhelmed. You need help. Your doctor, family member, or friend referred you to therapy, but you're not sure if that's the right next step.

You may not feel you have  have the time or energy to sit on a coach and talk about about all your feelings. I get that. And I've found that what most new moms really need is a plan that feels hopeful rather than like another item on the to-do list.

I offer 1:1 therapy sessions for Virginia residents virtually or at my private therapy practice (Vienna Counseling) to assess what is going on and help provide a treatment plan for getting you back on track.

Maybe you do need a place to process your feelings and get some time just to yourself each week. Maybe you want to know that what you're experiencing is common and won't last forever. Or maybe you just need a safe place to check in as-needed to keep you on track and help you process the challenges that arise in your parenting journey.

Let's meet and figure out the best plan to get you feeling good so that you can enjoy your motherhood journey.

Whether you are recently postpartum or are looking to heal because a new baby is on the way, find out if EMDR can help accelerate healing. Click here to learn more.

Together we can map out a plan to get you the support you need.

Not located in Northern Virginia?
Unfortunately, due to the way state licensure currently works, I'm only able to provide therapy to Virginia residents or those who are able to travel to Virginia to meet in-person. If you are not local to me but need support, please get in touch. As a Postpartum Support International Coordinator, I'd be happy to help you find resources in your area.
